Denver Days is a community event in Denver, NC by a group of local leaders who had a goal of building a community park in Denver. 2017 marks our 15th year of existence in our permanent home the Rescue Squad Park (across from Lincoln Charter School, located just off Highway 16 in Denver, NC).
This year there will be will be a total 4 Music in the Park Dates held on the 3rd Saturday of the month beginning in May and ending in August. The traditional fall festival will follow in September.
Denver Days, Inc. is a non-profit, tax-exempt organization whose members come from the membership of the local Denver/Lake Norman Rotary Club. The Rotary Club provides the man power for the successful annual event and all proceeds are used to support and expand Rescue Park.
1. No coolers permitted. Water, soft drinks, beer and wine will be available on site from our vendors.

Many thanks to all the Sponsor/Partners, Vendors and Volunteers who made 2016 a success. This was the first year in Denver Day’s new home (Rescue Squad Park) and it was not without growing pains and learning experiences. The comments received will help us improve in 2017, with more space, rides, food and vendors. Last year’s entertainment was excellent and this year will be no different. Check back often as we finalize our line-up and announce some terrific surprises.
Music in the Park
This year there will be will be a total 4 Music in the Park Dates held on the 3rd Saturday of the month beginning in May and ending in August. The traditional fall festival will follow in September. The festival fun begins with Student Ride all Night for one price on Thursday and Friday Nights (9/21 and 9/22). Friday afternoon begins with Special Needs Fun Day where those with special needs can ride for free from 1-3 PM and the festival officially opens at 5PM. Great local bands, fantastic food, beer and wine will be available on all dates. On June 17th aDenver Days Poker Run will be held to benefit both the Rescue Squad Park and The Child Advocacy Center of Lincoln County. Registration begins at 9 AM at LKN Coffee Shop (Highway 150 / 4688 Mountain Creek Ave, Denver). Riders will depart at 10:30 AM sharp with a final 3PM check-in @ Rescue Squad Park, Denver for BBQ, Beer and Live Music in the Park Music.
The best hand wins a $250 cash prize with the worst hand taking home a $50 cash prize. The cost is $20 per rider / $10 per passenger and cars are also welcome to join the fun. (Bring a Stuffed Animal which will be donated to the children at the Child Advocacy Center).
2017 marks the 15th year for the Denver Days fall Festival and will be expanded to three days as in past years. Vendors return on Friday afternoon 9/22 and will remain through Saturday Evening. (Vendor forms are available under the Vendor tab.) There will be live bands on Friday Night and all day on Saturday (check back for the schedule as the schedule is finalized..
Fun-Time Amusements will again return with rides for all ages. The festival fun begins with Student Ride all Night for one price on Thursday and continue on Friday Nights (9/21 and 9/22).
Rides take 3 -5 tickets each. The price is $10 for a block of 12, or value pack of 26 for $20. Single tickets can also be bought for $1. These are the regular prices for all three days.

Special Needs Fun Day
The Special needs Fun Day will be held on Friday Afternoon from 1-3PM. Hecht Realty has sponsored this event for several years and is again sponsoring this year. Most of the rides will be open and free, plus food and drinks are on the house. There are No large crowds, little or no lines and parking is near by. This is a special time for those with special needs and is open to their immediate families. We would love for you to join us! Disk Golf Tournament
This year a Disk Golf Tournament will be added to the Saturday events on 9/23. It will be held in Rescue Park’s Disk Golf Course. All plans are not finalized. Please check back often for updates and if you are interested in registering or volunteering for the Tournament, please call 704-405-7905.

1. Where is parking?
Parking is at the Rescue Squad Park, Lincoln Charter School for Music in the Park . Other lots will be made available for the fall festival and shuttles will be available. Attendants will be available for ease of parking.
2. Are animals allowed?
No pets are allowed at Denver Days, other than service animals.
3. Who is allowed to come to the Special Needs Kids Day?
The special needs child and his or her immediate family are invited. The rides are free and food/drink are available. Those planning to attend need to register so adequate staffing is on hand.
4. Is safety provided?
The East Lincoln Fire Department will have their command post set up at the park, and are available for anything from minor to an emergency. In addition, Sheriff Carpenter will have an ample number of personnel covering the area.

7. Rules of Denver Days
No firearms, no coolers no drugs of any kind. Denver Days is a community, family-oriented festival.
8. Is there a cost to Denver Days?
Just for the rides and food and any purchases you may make. Come see the bands at the festival at no cost.
9. Is Denver Days handicap accessible?
Yes, we have a separate handicap area and are able to provide transportation from the parking areas as needed.
10. What type of vendors will I find?
We have a variety of food vendors, our local businesses will be at the Denver Days Festival in the fall with giveaways, games and photos. Jewelry, handbags, leather items, candles, art and just about everything you can imagine!
11. What are the ride ticket prices?
Rides are being provided by Fun Time Amusements, Danville, Va. (www.4funtime.com) The rides are priced individually and tickets may be purchased at the rides ticket booths, located just in side the Park, in the area of the carnival rides.
Thursday and Friday Night “Ride all Night” arm bands will be available.
Armbands cost $22 each and $2 coupons will be distributed through local schools and newspapers. In the event of total cancellation of Friday Night Activities due to inclement weather, armbands will be valid on Saturday 9/24 from 11AM – 3PM only.
