It’s the last week of January and I hope everyone has had a great start to 2024. I have had much success with some of the goals I set for myself. There are a few that I was not as successful with, but seeing that one of my goals was to not be so hard on myself when I make mistakes, or forget something - I’ll count January as a win.
Coming up: February is Peacebuilding and Conflict Prevention Month. We need this now more than ever. Not just in light of what is happening around the globe but what has landed in our own backyards with rising violence, mass shootings, and hate crimes. In the link below is information as to how Rotary has influenced peacebuilding and conflict resolution over 100+years ago and where they aim to be today. https://www.rotary.org/en/promoting-peace-rotarys-peacebuilding-history-around-world
Also, February 23rd is Rotary’s 119th anniversary! Isn’t it great knowing we are a part of an organization whose guiding principles have withstood the tests of time! Truth, Fairness, Goodwill and Friendship - together, a great formula by which to live. I know I am so grateful to walk among all of you who also strive to bring these principles into everything we do.
See you on Wednesday! (and Friday for our monthly board meeting at my office)
Cheers to a new month!
