President's Message
Good morning! I trust your “week after the 4th” will be a good one and I look forward to seeing you at our normal Wednesday morning meeting. Make sure to attend as Doug Core and the foundation committee will explain how our local project has a system and process to help local charities- this is aside from what our global Rotary does as well.

Also, don’t forget this coming Saturday night is another MUSIC IN THE PARK at Rescue Squad park. Last month we had a terrific turnout and will definitely need all available Rotary members to help out on Saturday and enjoy some great music!

See you Wednesday morning!

Rotary Hosts Hickory Crawdads Event for Members, Spouses and Friends on Sunday, August 7th

"Take me out to the ballgame." On Sunday, August 7th Denver/Lake Norman Rotary has reservations on for the Hickory Crawdads versus the Asheville Tourists. Game time is 3 PM. Members, their spouses and friends attended a game last year and had a great time. Tickets are $25.00 per person and include the following:

All-you-can-eat picnic buffet with hamburgers, hot dogs, barbecue, baked beans, chili, cole slaw, chips, ice cream, and soft drinks. Food is available one half hour before the first pitch and runs for an hour into the game. Rotary has use of a picnic area under a covered pavilion for the entire game.

A sign-up sheet will circulate at the next few Denver/Lake Norman Rotary meetings and tickets may be charged to members' next quarterly invoices.
