Last week was a full one for Denver/Lake Norman Rotary. We had a wonderful gathering at Kanpai with great food, drink and fellowship on Tuesday. At Wednesday's meeting we inducted two new members, Berry Stubbs and Doak Turner. We also honored two of our members, David Pugh and Rich Lyon for their contributions to the Rotary International Foundation. Lastly, on Thursday evening we had a very well attended organizational event for our Satellite Club at Trilogy, Lake Norman.
Coming up one week from this Friday is our next Board meeting. Mark your calendars for February 7th, as we have lots to talk about.
Looking forward to seeing you all this Wednesday when our speaker will be our own Alacia Tarplay.

Donations for "Shuz for Santa Cruz 2025" Effort Concludes
Jim and Ash Minor will be going on a Building Mission trip to Guapiles, Costa Rica from January 31st to February 7th with the Men's Mission Team from the Weddington UMC. They will carry 81 pairs of donated shoes for distribution to the underserved rural communities surrounding Guapiles, notably Santa Cruz. Jim collected donated shoes at our weekly meetings through January 22nd. Any and all "gently used" shoes for infants, toddlers, adolescents, men and women were welcomed. Thanks to our Club for their perennial support of this great humanitarian shoe donation program!!
Happy Bucks 1/22

Craig was sad that the era of free dentistry was over, his wife is retired and he had some work done to the tune of 2500 dollars, ouch!
