President's Message

Merry Christmas, Denver/Lake Norman Rotarians!

This Wednesday will be our final meeting of 2024 and will feature Brownie Futrell from the Rotary of Washington, North Carolina. He is Chief Barbecue Officer for the North Carolina Pork Council and is also the District 7720 Governor-elect for 2025-2026.  Brownie will discuss how a barbecued pork contest fundraiser could benefit our club as well as fill a need for the Council to establish a contest in our part of the state. This will be a very informative presentation and will be another step in determining whether Denver/Lake Norman Rotary should move forward with this fundraiser to benefit our Club Foundation.

Looking forward to seeing you on Wednesday!

Craig said the parade was great and reminded everyone about his and Jeane's party on Dec 18th.

Thomas was ready to read and asked for volunteers to help at Lincoln Charter school.

Panico thanked Matt Motteler and was grateful to our President for keeping kids out of harm's way at the parade. Friend from Brazil a 15 yr old boy wants a rotary group do we want to host?

Rich thanked everyone for a wonderful Christmas Parade and tree lighting event… especially thanking Ross, Phillip, Jim Minor, Mike Pugh, Doug, Marty, and Michelle!

Steve gave for his friend Morrie.

Mike was hard to come up with a suitable excuse for not being at the event.

Ellen thanked everyone involved her 3 yr old loved it!
