President's Message

Season’s Greetings Rotary Family!

I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving and enjoyed some peace and time with those who are special to you.

We are beginning the holiday season with many opportunities to celebrate with your fellow Rotarians. Just to name a few, this week the East Lincoln Community Chorus and our own Joe Lampron and Marty Smith will be performing their Christmas concert, “Glow” at Unity Presbyterian Church on December 4th and 5th at 7 PM and on December 6th at 4 pm. Also this Saturday is the Denver Christmas Parade on December 6th at 12:30 PM and the Tree Lighting with Santa on Sunday at 4:45 at Lake Norman Lutheran Church. Please come out to volunteer, support and enjoy all the hard work that Ross Bulla and Michelle Busch have put into this year’s “Miracle on 16” parade and festivities.

On Thursday, December 11th the Angels' Christmas Party for Foster Children will be at the First United Methodist Church in Lincolnton. Please mark your calendars to join in and support Sherry Rinehardt, our CAC, and our county’s Foster Children services as they bring smiles to children’s faces and the magic of Santa.

Now for some jingling and mingling: our Rotary Christmas shindig – “Christmas Around the World” Cocktail & Potluck Party is Thursday, December 18th at 6 PM at the Crawford’s and Denny and Rita Daar’s Holiday Open House is Saturday, December 20th from 6 to 9 PM.

I look forward to celebrating this holiday season with you and seeing you this Wednesday for our weekly Rotary meeting.

This week our own Dr. David Zelley will be sharing his good work and experience from his recent mission trip. We will start our meeting a bit early this week as we also have a very important and exciting presentation that Ross Bulla will sharing with us that will be especially significant to our Rotary.

Happy holidays and thank you so much for who you are and for all you do!

Wishing you the best gifts of joy, peace, and love,

Trudie
