I missed you all last week as I was attending a wedding in Colorado's beautiful Rocky Mountains where the aspens were almost at their peak. Thank you President-elect Trudie Crawford for filling in.
It seems that Rotary Presidents are always "on the job" and so it was last week as we continue to have parking challenges at Unity with the preschool parents arriving as we are departing. I was in touch with Senior Pastor David Bonnema during my time away and as a temporary solution, we have agreed to to have as many of us as possible park in the lot by the old sanctuary at the far end of the church. I will be working with our Board to explore longer term solutions.
This Wednesday our speaker is Greg Smith from the East Lincoln Betterment Association (ELBA), with whom we are partnering for the Denver Christmas Parade and Tree Lighting. His presentation should be most interesting.
I am glad to be back and look forward to seeing you on Wednesday!

Sheriff Bill Beam Speaks at Denver/Lake Norman Rotary
Bill, pictured here with Community Service Chair Sherry Reinhardt and President Nominee Ross Bulla, said as Lincoln County Sheriff it is important to protect life, protect property and keep the peace. He said he tries to reinforce these things to his employees every day. In addition, he said one must tell the truth and do the right thing - kind of like the "4-way Test".

Please, if at All Possible, Park in the Lot on the Far Side of Unity Church
Rotarian greeters will direct you to the lot at the east end of the church campus near the old sanctuary. This is necessary due to significantly increased enrollment in the Unity Preschool and to avoid conflicts with parents entering as Rotarians are departing.
