President's Message

Hello, Denver/Lake Norman Rotarians!

It's official - our Board at its October 4th meeting formally voted for St Peter's Church as our new Denver meeting venue. As the many who attended last Wednesday found out, it is a great facility and should serve our group well in the months to come. We look forward to another strong turnout this week!

Also last Wednesday, Jeff Quasny gave a really informative presentation on disaster relief efforts in western North Carolina. Thank you, Jeff!

At this point many truck and plane loads of supplies have made their way to the disaster areas, but much more is needed. The Denver/Lake Norman Rotary Foundation Board has stepped up to support Jeff and Next Level Disaster Relief as well as Ross Bulla's very successful fundraiser last Saturday night.  Thank you to Doug Core, Jason Beckley and the other Board members for moving quickly to put our regular contributions to the Foundation to good use!

Longer term, our Board has been looking at a scaled up version of Operation Warm, possibly in partnership with a western North Carolina chapter, with fundraising starting in November.

See you Wednesday at St Peter's!

Craig
