I have been thinking about the President’s theme for this year “Unite for Good” and President Elect Ross’s theme “Create Lasting Impact” and the concepts of continuity and amplifying action come to mind.
I have watched our Rotary continuously unite and “do good” this year, most recently with Race for Philanthropy. It is no wonder that Rotary’s vision statement that is read aloud every meeting begins with the words “Together, we…” because when we unite together we do create change. But we are charged to take the next step and find ways to turn that change into lasting impact. I am grateful we met together as a Club the week following Race for Philanthropy and that committee is already meeting together again to explore ways to make a tremendous and successful event even more wonderful. That is amplifying action and ensuring continuity while being open to growth.
Thank you for letting me be a part of our amazing Club and I am excited to see what we unite together to do in the future.
Yours in Service and Friendship,
Trudie
