Fellow Rotarians,
As we begin a new Rotary year, I am honored, humbled, and excited to serve as President of the Denver/Lake Norman Rotary Club.
Before looking ahead, I want to express my sincere appreciation to Trudie Crawford for her leadership during the past year. Trudie led our club with grace, enthusiasm, and a genuine commitment to service. On behalf of all our members, thank you for your dedication and the many ways you strengthened our club and community.
This year, Rotary International's message is Create Lasting Impact. It is a simple but powerful reminder that Rotary is not measured by meetings attended or titles held. Rotary is measured by the difference we make in the lives of others.
Creating lasting impact begins with involvement.
That is why I hope to see an exceptional turnout on Wednesday, July 8, for our first Inside Rotary meeting of the year. This meeting is especially important because it will give our incoming officers, committee chairs, and members an opportunity to come together, establish goals, discuss priorities, and begin planning the work that will shape our year ahead.
No Rotarian is required to serve on a committee. Yet the reality is that Rotary's greatest accomplishments happen when members work together through active, engaged committees. Whether our focus is youth programs, scholarships, service projects, membership growth, fundraising, public image, or fellowship, committees are where ideas become action and where action becomes impact.
Our motto is Service Above Self, but service does not happen by itself. It requires planning, leadership, volunteers, and members who are willing to contribute their talents and experience.
I encourage every member to attend on July 8, learn about the opportunities ahead, and find a place where your interests and abilities can help move our club forward. Together, we can accomplish far more than any of us can alone.
I am grateful for the opportunity to serve alongside each of you and look forward to an exciting year ahead as we work together to create lasting impact in our club, our community, and beyond.
Yours in Rotary,
Ross D. Bulla
