Dear Rotary Family,
As my time as your Rotary president winds down during June, I find myself looking back on this past year with immense gratitude. It feels bitter-sweet to realize my term is ending soon. Time has truly flown. They say that is what happens when you are having fun and I have had so much fun with you all. While I am getting increasingly sad to step away from this role, my heart is incredibly full.
I want to express my deepest appreciation to our wonderful Board chairs and Leadership team. Your dedication has been the true anchor of our success. Your love for our community, our Rotary, all our members and your devotion to service above self are truly inspiring. You have a special place in my heart and words cannot express my gratitude and abiding respect for you.
To all our wonderful Rotary members: thank you for your constant warmth, hard work, and support. You make our club a truly special community within our very special Denver/Lake Norman community, and serving you, sharing time with you and and working alongside you has been a profound honor.
While I know it will be difficult to say goodbye to this Rotary chapter, I am filled with genuine excitement for our future. I am absolutely thrilled to pass the torch to President Elect Ross, our incoming President, and our new board members. Ross is a leader with heart, vision, keen intellect and commitment to bettering our community and the lives of those in it. His dedication is tireless and absolute. Ross pours his energy into our club, both leading upfront and working behind the scenes to ensure that no detail is overlooked and every cause is positioned for success. I am so grateful to call him my dear friend, fellow Rotarian and soon my Rotary President.
I am eager to see the wonderful spirit and fresh vision President Elect Ross will bring to our club, and I know our mission is in the most capable hands. Please join us this Wednesday morning to hear what Ross has in store for us in 2026-27.
Thank you all for making this an unforgettable year. Let us cherish these final weeks of the Rotary year together and give PE Ross and the new leadership team our warmest welcome and full support!
With gratitude,
Trudie
