Greetings, Denver/Lake Norman Rotarians!

We had a truly awesome presentation last Wednesday from our own Denny Daar and his wonderful wife Rita.  Their Viking cruise from Paris to Normandy and back via Versailles looked amazing while the Paris Olympics were certainly one of those once-in-a-lifetime bucket list events worth sharing with us all.

Also at that meeting, Bud Tschudin was honored with a Paul Harris +7 pin for his contributions to the Rotary Foundation.  Great job, Bud!

On Friday morning, Denver/Lake Norman Rotary Board members and Committee chairs met and covered a wide range of topics at our Board meeting.  We are so fortunate to have such a dedicated group of Rotary leaders!

Don't forget - this Wednesday, following our regular breakfast meeting, Jim Perry and Celeste Renaldo will conduct a Rotary 101 training session.  While all members are invited to attend, this fact-filled session is highly recommended for those who are new to our group since COVID.  It will be a great opportunity to learn about Rotary International, Denver/Lake Norman Rotary history and the many opportunities to serve throughout the year.

Lastly, our next Rotary Social will be held this coming Sunday, September 15th (note change in date) at Davesté Vineyards from 3 to 7 pm.  Bring a chair or blanket and enjoy the company of your Rotary friends, along with some live music.  Food and drink will be available for purchase.
