I hope you all enjoyed time with family, holiday parties or however you chose to celebrate the Christmas season.
Our Board has already met on January 3rd and we are planning a great second half to our Rotary fiscal year as well as a new and exciting barbeque contest fundraiser next October. You can hear more about that as well as how our Club Foundation will benefit from the proceeds at our January 15th breakfast meeting.
Meanwhile, coming up on Tuesday, January 21st is our next Rotary social, to be held at Kanpai on Rt 73 near Lowes from 5-7 pm.
Looking forward to seeing everyone on Wednesday!

Brownie Futrell, Chief Barbecue Officer NC Pork Council and District 7720 Governor-elect speaks at About a Fundraiser
Brownie, who spoke to Denver/Lake Norman Rotary via Zoom at the December 18th meeting was introduced by Denver/Lake Norman Rotarian Denny Daar who attended the Washington Rotary barbecue contest, "Smoke on the Water" in October. Denver/Lake Norman Rotary is considering a similar barbecue contest fundraiser on a smaller scale in the forthcoming Rotary calendar year to benefit our Club Foundation.

Thomas gave for his table - great group of Rotarians. Cindy read last week and loved it. We will start up again next year
Andie gave in honor of her husband Jason’s birthday
Trudie gave, grateful that her sister’s PET scan shrunk even more - thankful for the therapy. She also reminded everyone of the Love Actually movie played out in real life at the tree lighting Vickie sang behind her and surprised her with her lovely voice.
