I am pleased to say that we are actively moving forward on what is the very long process of helping our western North Carolina neighbors rebuild their homes and their lives. Currently, we are working to have all three of our Denver/Lake Norman Rotary entities (our Club, our Club Foundation and Denver Days/Music in the Park) contribute funds that have been sitting idle for awhile toward hurricane relief, which our District 7670 will be matching one for one. Stay tuned for the final numbers but we are moving forward in a big way, with more to come.
Speaking of hurricane relief, check out the photos below where three of our Denver/Lake Norman Rotarians participated in a ShelterBox Assembly Work Day in Greensboro, NC. Our current Rotary International President Stephanie Urchick actually attended this event! How cool is that? Thanks to Debbie Perry for coordinating our group's efforts.
Coming up on the Rotary calendar on Tuesday, November 19th is our monthly Rotary social gathering at Your Wine Stop. On the following Tuesday, November 26th, Denver/Lake Norman Rotarians will be serving a Thanksgiving luncheon to the students and their parents at the Asbury Academy. Hope you can participate in one or both.
Looking forward to seeing you on Wednesday!
Craig

Denver/Lake Norman Rotary will again be supporting our USO with this year's 'Helmet Fund', starting on November 6th and running through December 4th. The men and women of our uniformed services, most especially those deployed into active combat zones, are very grateful to our Club for its annual outpouring of caring and support.
