Happy Monday beloved Rotarians and Friends of Rotary. This week has been packed and stacked with events and my heart is full. I have been so fortunate to have spent three of the past seven days at one time or another with this wonderful group of people I call my extended family. Starting last Thursday (For those that couldn’t attend) we had our meet and greet at Trilogy of Lake Norman and it went better than I could have imagined. There was a good turnout from the residents at Trilogy and our Rotarians and their spouses/friends also came out in full force. I have a feeling we made an impact and that we will be back soon in an effort to collaborate with their service group. I am also hoping we have found a new member… or three!
On Saturday morning we showed up to do a little digging in the dirt at Denver Christian Academy for the first of two school beautification projects with Patty Korn. Everything looks lovely and it was so nice to see so many Rotarians working alongside parents and students. I feel we may have made some new friends here too!
Then on Saturday night Jason and I attended the 25th Anniversary Gala for Lincoln Charter School in Charlotte. It was so heartwarming to walk into the facility see a handful of our members (looking dashing I might add). We laughed, ate, drank, and even did some dancing! I know I say it a lot, but never enough - we are so lucky to be a part of this wonderful organization where we are like one big happy family!
Don’t forget that we have a board meeting this Friday at 7:30 am at Camp Dogwood to coordinate for our signature event, Day at the Lake, which takes place June 1!
See you bright and early on Wednesday where we will get to learn about ShelterBox!
