President's Message

Happy Earth Day my fellow and beloved Rotarians!  I hope you enjoyed your weekend. I know I sure did as I attended the District 7670 Conference in Greenville SC. It was an action packed weekend geared towards all things Rotary!  I want to thank Debbie and Jim Perry, Catie Crawford, Craig Buhrendorf, and Celeste Renaldo and spouses, (Jeane, Russ and Jason) for drinking the kool-aid of Rotary with me. We had a great time learning about the state of Rotary and listening to not one, not two, not three phenomenal speakers but more than five inspirational people with BIG messages. I will share more about all of this on Wednesday.

Last Wednesday, for those that did not attend our meeting, our guest speaker was Rotary International President Nominee, Mario Cesar Martins de Camargo and he was very candid with his view of Rotary. I learned quite a bit but could always have used a little more time. My plan is to ask him to return for another meeting in the future since we were abruptly cut off. Thank you to those that made it and accommodated our unusual seating and breakfast arrangements.

Looking forward this week - I will see you Wednesday but here is a reminder that we will be meeting Thursday afternoon 4:30-6:30-ish at Trilogy of Lake Norman for a meet and greet social. This is an excellent opportunity for us to share the good that we do in our communities with a group of people that have expressed an interest in combining forces to do even more! And...just when you think we do so much - there is always a little room for MORE - like THIS SATURDAY - we have our school beautification project!!! We will meet at the flagpole at Denver Christian Academy. The project will take place from 9 to 3.

I look forward to my time with all of you this Wednesday and Thursday and Saturday!

Andie
