It was great seeing everyone on a wonderful rainy Wednesday as Kim Campbell of the East Lincoln Rescue squad came to speak. Kim currently serves as the EMS manager for Lincoln County EMS and as secretary for the North Carolina Assn of EMS administators.
It was terrific timing (thx for the program, STEVE BAKER!) after the last two weeks of First Aid/AED training by Rick Ayers. The first task upon delivering CPR is to call 911. Chances are if you do (in the Denver area), you will have Kim and her cohorts come to your aid. I know they did with me about a year ago!
This week- you may have heard of the NFL Super Bowl. Kind of a sports holiday. Who better to talk than Denver resident and local NFL employee Jerry Sennett. Jerry will tell us about his job, including a lot of operations on a weekly basis to present the Panthers home football games. Jerry is a good speaker and you will enjoy hearing him.
See you Wednesday (will it be raining again?) at Unity!
Yours in Rotary!

The Denver/Lake Norman Rotary has once again supported Jim Minor and his son Ash contributing 90 pairs of shoes for their fourth Building Mission Trip to Costa Rica, February 3-13. The men's Mission Team from Weddington UMC has been going to Costa Rica for over 20 years on mission trips that build Methodist Church-related projects throughout the country. This year's trip is to Guapiles, on the eastern side of the mountain range that cuts through the central part of Costa Rica.
The Team has taken shoes donated by the Club to distribute to parishioners in Guapiles. All donated shoes are deeply appreciated by the local Costa Rican families.
