President's Message

Welcome back, Denver/Lake Norman Rotary!

I hope everyone had a most wonderful Thanksgiving holiday!  Mine started out last Tuesday with quite a number of us Rotarians at the Asbury Academy where we served up a huge Thanksgiving feast for the students, their families and staff.  It is always a joyous and gratifying feeling to give something back to our community.  We could see and feel how appreciative they were of our time, talents and energy.  Thank you to all who prepared food and spent time in set up, serving and cleaning up.

The feeling of love and hospitality continued throughout the remainder of the week where I was able to spend time with family and friends - I hope you all did as well.  While the weekend is behind us we do have one more slice of Thanksgiving to remember and that is tomorrow, Giving Tuesday!  We all have our favorite charities and organizations but one dear to my heart because of all that they/we do is the Rotary Foundation.  So on this global day of generosity please take the opportunity to make a big impact, with a gift of any size that supports projects we are passionate about. The Foundation will recognize the top three clubs in fundraising, donor participation, and online giving. Just be sure the gifts are made tomorrow - Tuesday, November 28.

Thank you for all that you do in the name of kindness, giving, and Rotary! See you Wednesday!

Andie
