President's Message

Hello, Denver/Lake Norman Rotary!

It’s definitely feeling a lot more “fall-like”.  The crisp mornings, gorgeous variations of orange, yellow and red dot our foliage skyline, and every place I step into smells like pumpkin spice.  This is my favorite time of year and Turkey Day is definitely my favorite holiday!  Coming together with family and friends from near and far.  Good hearty foods. And the feeling of gratitude is in the air.  (Just before the mad dash, rush of the next holiday)  There are so many reasons to be thankful.  Of course one of mine is YOU and the unique gifts you bring to our Rotary community.  I am blessed to be a part of this incredible group and there really is not a day that goes by that I do not have Rotary touch my life.  Hoping each of you has a similar outlook.  Not just for all of the good things our Rotary club does but also if you ever have a need whether in life, business, connections, human interaction whatever the case may be that you know you can always turn to one of your fellow members for assistance or guidance.  We have each other’s backs and that is a comforting feeling we all may not get with family.

Tomorrow,  November 14th we have the opportunity to be together at Lake Norman Brewery for our first true social experiment.  No fundraising, no membership drive, no pop-up project.  It is an opportunity to get to know one another in a relaxed setting.  So please join the social committee and myself from 5-8 pm.  Wear your Rotary gear, or not  There is absolutely no pressure with the exception that it is Trivia night so bring your A game if you are going to participate as I hear the patrons take it uber seriously..  Looking forward to a lovely fall evening with the absolute BEST group of friends who are like family that I know.
